*** Paris Team *** February 2001: First five are called to the Digital World to defeat the fallen angel, Pidmon, who absorbs the data of massacred Digimon. December 2002: French team is reunited with their Digimon partners in time to help with the Christmas invasion of '02. Digi-Destined from Italy also help with the Paris Invasion. March 2003: Floramon, Elecmon, Gostumon, Mushmon and Gazimon come to the real world to be closer to their partners. April 2004: Three new members are added to the team as Digimon begin to open portals in Paris, leading to a battle shadowed in dark revenge. Ellen Belvoir Born: 1993 Received partner: 2004 Nationality: French Eyes: Hazel Hair: Black Growing up in a broken home has given Ellen a thicker layer of skin than most kids her age. A lot of people view her as jaded, but Ellen could really care less about their opinions. Only when she gets really angry or frustrated will she react, and then aggressively. The divorce of Ellen's parents is a taboo topic among the Parisian Digi-Destined. She doesn't talk about it, so neither does her teammates. Ellen is the only member of the French team who is fluent in English, so if the French team ever runs into another team that doesn't speak French but has a member that speaks relatively good English Ellen is automatically drafted as translator. Her skill with English comes from the inordinate amount of time she spends visiting her mother and step-family in Massachusetts. Skills: Fluent in English and French, learns languages easily. Arguing. Self-defense (she's taken a few self-defense classes in the States). Digimon: Poromon - Hawkmon - Cockatrimon Voice Actor : Ellen: Rachel Lillis (Misty, US Version, Pokemon) Hawkmon: Debbi Derribery (Yugi, US Voice, Shin Tenchi Muyo! aka Tenchi in Tokyo) Rene LaSalle Born: 1993 Received partner: 2004 Nationality: French Eyes: Blue Hair: Brown Laid back and easy going, Rene always prefers to roll with the punches. He's hardly shown any displays of temper, publicly at least. He finds almost perverse enjoyment in listening to Ellen's attempts at baiting him and knowing she probably never will get a rise out of him. In the same respect, Rene is also able to give as good as he gets. Although he would never admit it, Rene holds a lot of respect for his pseudo-opponent Ellen. He wouldn't go so far as to call what he feels about her a crush, since he doesn't believe that he's ready for a relationship of that caliber and might not be ready for one for some time. Skills: Math. Geography. Debating. Digimon: Koromon - Snow Agumon - Hyogamon Voice Actor : Rene: Joshua Seth (Tai Kamiya, US Voice, Digimon 01) Snow Agumon: Genevieve Riveare Born: 1995 Received partner: 2004 Nationality: French Eyes: Blue Hair: Red In 2003 Genevieve lost her mother to cancer of the brain. She still mourns for her mother, as does her father. Genevieve holds her father in high regard and finds it difficult to keep secrets from him, leading him to become one of the first _real_ allies for the Paris Team and giving them an almost-official headquarters in the form of the hotel. So far Genevieve has the most unique living arrangement of all of the Paris Digi-Destined. Her father, Louie Riveare, is the proprietor of a bed and breakfast in Paris called, appropriately, the Rose of Paris. She has a penchant for telling stories, and the customers at the bed and breakfast enjoy having her around. Because of her mother's death Genevieve is extremely adverse to killing, about to the point that Mimi is. She's actually physically restrained Lopmon in battle, for fear that she will either kill or be killed. Skills: Being a mediator (she gets a _lot_ of practice with Ellen and Rene) Listening. Story-telling. Digimon: Chocomon - Lopmon - Prairiemon Voice Actor : Genevieve: Stephanie Beard (Chibiusa Tsukino, US Version, Sailor Moon S and SuperS) Lopmon: Michelle Ruff (Lopmon, US Version, Digimon Tamers) Catherine Ducharme Flower of the West Born: 1991 Received partner: 2001 Nationality: French Eyes: Blue Hair: Blonde Petite, polite, charming and pretty, Catherine is the very image of a debutante. As her parents are well-to-do, she's been raised to appreciate the finer things in life. While she used to look down her nose at people who were of a lower class than she was, her career as a Digi-destined made her look more at personality than social status before judging someone. Catherine is also very good at dispelling the "blonde" myth. There are times when she will act like the stereotypical ditz, but for the most part she is a very intelligent person. She will only turn to killing if it's the only option she has in defeating an opponent on the battlefield. Skills: Quick with figures, although not to the extent of Rene. Digimon: Tanemon - Floramon - Kiwimon - Piximon [late-2004] Voice Actor : Catherine: Philece Sampler (Catherine, US Version, Digimon 02) Floramon: Joan LaSalle Born: 1991 Received partner: 2001 Nationality: French Eyes: Brown Hair: Brown Joan is a bit on the tidy side, although saying she is a neat freak would be a little extreme. She can't stand seeing things, especially her own belongings, not being in their proper place. She has the distinction of being Rene LaSalle's older sister, and like any good sibling rags on him as much as she can. Skills: Cleaning. Digimon: Tsunomon - Elecmon - Kentarumon Voice Actor: Joan: Elecmon: Paul Renard Born: 1991 Received partner: 2001 Nationality: French Eyes: Green Hair: Black Paul's one great love in life is sports. No matter what season it is in school, Paul is always involved in some athletic extracurricular or another. Gotsumon is the perfect teammate because he's got "a real hard head." Paul's claim to fame on the battlefield is his improvisation with battle tactics, especially ones that resemble sports plays. His other teammates think he's trying to show off for Catherine, on whom he has a rather large crush. Skills: Sports/athletics. Improvisation. Digimon: Motimon - Gotsumon - J Mojamon Voice Actor: Paul: Brian Donovan (Daisuke Motomiya, US Version, Digimon 02) Gotsumon: Steve Blum (Guilmon, US Version, Digimon Tamers) Gerard Savignon The Observer Born: 1990 Received partner: 2001 Nationality: French Eyes: Blue Hair: Dirty blonde Any and all information about the Parisian Digi-Destined is kept by Gerard, for historical and reference purposes. He's very organized and thorough, which makes him very good at this sort of thing. Gerard's ambition is to someday become a famous writer and sees writing down the accounts of the Paris team's battles and such as good practice for that sort of thing. Skills: Organization. Writing. Digimon: Pyocomon - Mushmon - Veggiemon Voice Actor: Gerard: (Osamu Ichijouji, US Version, Digimon 02) Mushmon: Colette L'Arwall Born: 1991 Received partner: 2001 Nationality: French Eyes: Hazel Hair: Blonde Down-to-earth, Colette likes to keep things realistic. When everyone else is imagining worst-case scenarios, Colette always tries to keep a positive outlook. Coming from a large family, she is always searching for ways to make herself useful on the team, the same as she does at home. She especially likes to help Gerard with the team files, since she has a bit of a crush on him. Colette is the only member of the first Paris team to have had her Digivice upgraded to a D-3. Skills: Being helpful. Being positive. Digimon: Pagumon - Gazimon - Lynxmon Voice Actor: Colette: Rebecca Forstadt (Hanmyo, US Version, Outlaw Star) Gazimon: Melissa Fahn (Gaz, Invader Zim) Mr. Takaishi 'Grandpa' Born: 1956 Nationality: French As a young lad of thirteen, Mr. Takaishi had fallen in love with the daughter of the then Japanese ambassador. When she became pregnant, he found himself shuttled off to Japan with her and promptly married. He was forced to take her name in marriage, but he didn't care for he was in love. His wife gave birth to a daughter, Natsuko Nancy Takaishi. Natsuko also happens to be the mother of Takeru Takaishi and Yamato Ishida of the Odaiba group. Life in Japan was difficult for the new Mr. Takaishi who found that he preferred the open hostility many French have for foreigners far more than the Japanese hidden disgust. Being a young father and husband did not help his situation at all. When he finished high school, he took to having odd jobs that allowed him to travel away from home. While Takaishi loved his wife, their marriage was far from a happy one. It would've ended in divorce had she not steadfastly refused to go through one siting their responsibility to their daughter. Shortly after Natsuko got married, his wife died of illness. Having no reason to remain in Japan, Takaishi returned to his home town of Paris but has kept his wife's name out of respect for her.
